1 family, 2 passengers: a grandmother and her grandchild, in 3 cities; a story with 4 paragraphs.

It's just a Diaspora tale about an outland family, came from Mainland China to Taiwan many years ago.  Fragmentary images and uncertain passage, all these are or aren’t about remembrance.

We get in and away from the journey of time; and freeze between the frames of memory.

Remember, or not remember.

This is a story about my family and me.

And I walked into grandma’s memory, just on the way of mine.

1個家族，祖孫2人，3個城市，4段故事。

只是一個外省家族的離散故事。片斷的影像與流浪的旅程，述說著一些不/可信的記憶。

在時光的旅程中離開、抵達；在記憶經過的殘影裡定格。

記得/不記得而已

這是一個我與我的家人的故事。

我在自己的旅途上，曾經與外婆的記憶，悄然重合......

■萬蓓琪 WAN Pei-Chyi

台大外文系及台南藝術學院音像紀錄研究所畢業，因緣際會加入李道明老師的多面向藝術工作室，開始參與紀錄片的拍攝與製作，擔任編導、企劃研究及製作人。目前為自由影像工者，輔仁大學兼任講師。

長期關注邊緣以及離散社群，近年多次行走泰緬邊境、印度與多明尼加等第三世界國家，製作多部援外工作隊的影像記錄。專長興趣在歷史人文議題與社會變遷，共同製作及個人編導作品多次參與國內外影展，作品散見於公共電視台以及獨立影展。

■Wan, Pei-Chyi

Born in 1974, Wan Pei-Chyi graduated from National Taiwan University majoring in foreign language and literature. Because of some social work about Taiwan indigenous people, she got the chance to work as a researcher, director and producer of some TV documentaries in Dimensions Communications with Dao-Ming Lee during 1996 to 2000.  Then, graduated from Tainan National College of the Arts with the Master of sound and image studies in 2003.  

Now is currently an independent documentary filmmaker, participate lots of documentary films of broadcasting local and international channels, and travels around the world along the borderline.
