Mahvash Zia Sheikholeslami

Mahvash Sheikholeslami Born in Iran and studied cinema at the London Film School. She has shot four documentaries and has been on active producer since 1975. She tought cinema at University TV in Tehran and produced movies and TV serials of most famous Iranian filmmakers.

Since 1996 she has been making her own films. Among them: Yufek (1999, Grand Prix Tampere international Film Festival. First Prize Arg-e jaded Documentary Film Festival. Best Director International Iranian Young Cinema Charsho 2000 Best Director Award at the International Iranian Cinema.,Pire Hara 2001:Grand Prix International Marine Kish Film Festival.Award of Excellence Yamagata International documentary Film Festival. Pershang, Dooz, Murderer& Murdered (Arte TV) and participated too many other Festivals.
